In 1862, Albert Arnold Sprague, his brother, and Ezra J. Warner, formed the wholesale house of Sprague, Warner & Co.  Sprague Warner was a pioneer in the packaging of food and grew to a sizeable manufacturing and wholesale house of some renown.

This specimen is has a nice clean and rust free interior that makes it a good general purpose period storage container. One small dent and only light surface rust on lid.  Height is 5½" - Base and top diameter is 4¼"
